Kirk is the Chief Strategist at Constant Horizon, a healthcare consulting practice based in Denver, Colorado. With 40 years of innovation experience he’s recognized as a transformation leader, including executive responsibilities with insurance, technology and healthcare companies, and senior leadership roles with national managed care organizations. Most recently Kirk was Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Renown Health, northern Nevada’s largest integrated healthcare network. In addition to strategic planning responsibilities, he developed and operationalized the community and regional partnerships necessary for Renown to achieve its strategic growth objectives. Prior to this role and as Vice President of Accountable Care, Kirk led Renown’s value-based transformation initiatives including a multi-payor Accountable Care Organization (ACO) that included enterprise responsibility for the Population Health Management Office (PHMO), Rural Health Services for a 100,000 square mile catchment area, and comprehensive TeleHealth programming designed to achieve access, service and affordability improvement goals for the region’s consumers, employers and insurers. Born and raised in southern California, Kirk obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and Business Administration from California State University at Fullerton. He’s lived and worked in five major insurance and healthcare markets, and each experience has contributed to his belief that “Like a Constant Horizon the Transformation Journey Never Ends”.
