This session will explore the use of telehealth for both assessment and delivery of pediatric rehabilitative services to children with developmental delays and disabilities. During this session you will hear presenters explain the logistics of blending clinical best practice with telehealth best practice for occupational therapy to children presenting with mild to severe disabilities, including cortical vision impairment. You will explore how telehealth is used to support behavioral interventions, including features unique to virtual reality that have proven to improve the social communication skills of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Examples will include implementation of telehealth across diverse child appropriate settings, including service delivery models in response to COVID-19.
